Áëàãî÷èííèé êîíöåðò, ïðèñâÿ÷åíèé 15-òè ð³÷÷þ ãóìàí³òàðíîãî ôîíäó "Ñóïóòíèê". ì. Ðîòòåðäàì / Vijftiende verjaardag en benefietconcert "Spoetnik voor Oekraine" in Theater Zuidplein in Rotterdam.
Op donderdag 27 november vierde Stichting Spoetnik haar vijftiende verjaardag met het spectaculaire benefietconcert "Spoetnik voor Oekraine" in Theater Zuidplein in Rotterdam. Het concert had tot doel om geld in te zamelen voor twee projecten van Spoetnik: voor een psychiatrisch ziekenhuis in Romny, en voor een project ter ondersteuning van een jeugdopvangcentrum te Loehansk. De ruim tweehonderd gasten en bezoekers kregen een gevarieerd programma aangeboden, met aandacht voor de rijke muziekcultuur in Oekraine.
In zijn openingswoord stond de nieuwe Oekraiense ambassadeur Vasyl Korzachenko stil bij de geschiedenis van Stichting Spoetnik en haar rol in de Nederlands-Oekraiense samenwerking. Hij sprak niet alleen zijn bewondering uit voor wat Spoetnik heeft bereikt in Oekraine zelf, maar ook voor haar rol als promotor van Oekraine in Nederland. Hij roemde de artiesten die zouden gaan optreden, zowel de Oekrainers in diaspora als de vele Nederlanders die erbij betrokken zijn.
Het spits werd afgebeten door het Lysenko koor, met voornamelijk profane liederen. Soliste Elena Kopanychuk bracht onder begeleiding van Mykola Korzun meer klassieke nummers, gevolgd door het Oekraiense Uzory, dat het publiek kennis liet maken met de diverse stijlen en genres die het beheerst.
Na de pauze bracht het Utrechts Byzantijns Koor (UBK) zowel profane als wereldlijke gezangen ten gehore, gevolgd door Otrada met een combinatie van Oekraiense en kozakkenvolksmuziek en estrada.
De spectaculaire finale bestond uit een in Nederland niet eerder vertoonde samenzang van alle deelnememde artiesten. De ruim honderd zangers en muzikanten brachten gezamenlijk en onder leiding van presentator en dirigent van UBK, Grigori Sarolea, Reve ta stohne Dnipr sjyrokyj (een beroemd gedicht van volksdichter Taras Sjevtsjenko op muziek van Mykola Lysenko) ten gehore, gevolgd door mnohaja lita waarmee de artiesten Spoetnik nog vele jaren toewensten.
Het benefietconcert is mogelijk gemaakt door de inspanningen van Spoetniks vrijwilligers en de financiele steun van de volgende bedrijven en organisaties: Austrian Airlines (hoofdsponsor), Epona Software Productions, Eurocult-Lito, reisorganisatie voor Centraal en Oost-Europa en enkele andere donateurs.

The year of 2008 is the Jubilee Year for the Dutch organization CHOE and the Ukrainian specialized school. 46 children from the Zakarpattya boarding school, who have spent their summer holidays in The Netherlands.
Right after the Independence Day of Ukraine the Big Child Farewell concert took place in Nijverdal (Monday, 25 August, 19.30 hours). There were a lot of music as well as the new documentary film was presented about the children and the boarding school in Perechyn town. The guests could listen to the music, watch to the documentary, enjoy some Ukrainian food. The Embassy and the stichting Oekraiense gemeenschap in Nederland presented the Independence Day of Ukraine (24 August) by The Holographic exposition “Treasures of Ukraine”, which took place at the new Nijverdal city hall.

06.10.2007 - Verandering vanuit Oekraiens en Nederlandse perspectief in Oekraiense politiek, cultuur, samenwerking en humanitaire hulp, waar sprekers uit Oekraine en Nederland met kennis en ervaring uitgebreid op in zullen gaan. Ook zal het optreden van de Oekraiense bajanvirtuoos Volodimir Koerilenko sluit zich bij het thema van de Oekrainedag aan, hij brengt zowel traditionele Oekraiense muziek als eigentijds repertoire. Ook Razom, SPSN-O's werkgroep voor Nederlands-Oekraiense koppels.

Ukrainian Order of Princess Olga for the Head of Stichting Spoetnik Beja Kluiters-Albers
Kateryna Joesjtsjenko, de echtgenote van de President van Oekraine, aan Vlaardingen ontving onze voorzitter Beja Kluiters-Albers de Orde van Vorstin Olga in de derde klasse. Beja ontving in het stadhuis van Vlaardingen de versierselen en de oorkonde die bij deze hoge Oekraiense onderscheiding horen uit handen van de Oekraiense Minister van Volksgezondheid, de heer Joeri Poljatsjenko.
Stichting Spoetnik is bijzonder trots op deze uitzonderlijke onderscheiding voor haar voorzitter en oprichtster. Deze erkenning en waardering vanuit Oekraine voor Beja's werk en inzet straalt af op de gehele organisatie met alle vrijwilligers en ondersteuners.

Run 4 Romny - the humanitarian project
26.03.2006 The Embassy took part in the Start ceremony of the charity project - Run 4 Romny. This year the city of Zutphen welcomes on Tuesday afternoon 27 March a runners group from Vlaardingen. These runners have started their ‘warming up’ 24 hours before the championship: a charity run for a good cause, the Run 4 Romny.
Run 4 Romny is a relay race, run by civil servants of the municipality of Vlaardingen, to collect money for a rehabilitation centre for disabled children in the city of Romny in Ukraine.
Employees of the municipality of Vlaardingen worked together with the civil servants of Romny and Moravska Trebova in December 2006. Now the civil cervants-runners with Run 4 Romny want to collect money so that the centre can buy equipment needed for sports and other care activities.
The Embassy supports and appreciates the activity of all the Run 4 Romny participants.

The Day of Ukraine - Oekrainedag in Vlaardingen
24.03.2006 The Embassy took part in the Day of Ukraine in Vlaardingen, which was dedicated to the development of social and humanitarian Cultural and Economic cooperation between Ukraine and the Netherlands.
The Day of Ukraine consisted of two parts: Social and humanitarian part was presented be the projects of VNG International Cultural (Vlaardingen-Romny-Moravska Trebova) and the project "Run 4 Romny"
The cultural part consisted of the National and Traditional Costume show, Ukrainian culture lecture and Otrada song group performance.
The Embassy appreciates the initiative of all the organisers and participants in the Day of Ukraine.

The Day of Ukraine - Oekrainedag in Hilversum
07.10.2006 Ambassador O.Kupchyshyn took part in the Day of Ukraine in Hilversum, which was dedicated to the Cultural and Economic cooperation between Ukraine and the Netherlands.
Ambassador delivered an opening speech to highlight activities of the Ukrainian Embassy during the year 2006 in each sphere. It was proposed to conduct future meetings in the format of Public Diplomacy.
The Day of Ukraine consisted of two parts: Cultural part was presented by performance of Het Lysenko Koor and lecture on Orthodox icon-painting schools.
Economic part was presented by lectures on RSM Erasmus MBA project in Ukraine, macro- and micro investment perspectives in Ukraine. During the event Ambassador met with the participants of the Day of Ukraine, lecturing researchers, businessmen, representatives of Ukrainian community in the Netherlands, humanitarian, cultural and touristic organisations working with Ukraine.

Ñoncert Oekraiense Kinderen in Almelo on the eve of the 15-th Anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine
23.08.2006 Ambassador O.Kupchyshyn took part in the Stichting CHOE activities. The Afscheidsconcert Oekraiense Kinderen in Almelo took place on the eve of the 15-th Anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine and was organized by Stichting CHOE.
Ambassador delivered an opening speech to present the cooperation in humanitarian and cultural spheres. During the event Ambassador met with the president CHOE foundation, Ukrainian children, Netherlands host-families, mayor of Almelo, high guests of the Overijssel province administration.
The Embassy thanks CHOE foundation and all its co-partners for their true support and assistance of Ukrainian children in the Netherlands.

Stichting «Breath» fundraised money for children house in Chervonoarmijsk Donetsk region
22 May 2006 the Embassy took part at the 3-e Benefietdiner devoted to fundraising for Chervonoarmijsk children house in Donetsk region.
Fund already realized projects in Poland, Romania, Georgia, Sri Lanka. Stichting`s president Nico de Borst, also the head of the Sparta Supporter Vereniging fundraised money for the total renovating of the children house at the native town of Groningen FC football player Evgenij Levchenko, Ukrainian by origin.
In the charity evening took part the spouse of the President of Georgia Sandra Rulofs, Rotterdam Gemeente officials, representatives of political, business, humanitarian, sport, mass-media and showbiz sphere of the Netherlands.
Ambassador working visit to the Netherlands region
06.04.2006 Ambassador O.M.Kupchyshyn visited Drenthe province to attend the Dutch-Ukrainian economic forum and exhibition “Oekraine-plein” in Emmen.
Ambassador visited presentation of the NAM/Shell Company in Assen (the capital of Drenthe), which is already developed the energy project in Ukraine. During the visit Ambasador met Commissioner of the Province of Drenthe, Mr. A. L. ter Beek and discussed the initiatives of establishing new economic and business ties with Ukraine on the basis of fruitful and mutual interest.
Second part of the Programme took place in Emmen, the largest city of Drenthe province. The Business forum was hosted by the City mayor administration, members of Lions club Emmen, business community of Drenthe province (BCDD). The presentations of number of Dutch companies were conducted (VNO/NCW, Tebodin, Honeywell, Future Forest Investment), which already work in Ukraine.
Ambassador O.M.Kupchyshyn and Head of the Trade and Economic Mission S.M.Zaroudny delivered the speeches to the business community of the region as well as, thanked for the support of Makeevka Child Center of Education and Rehabilitation “Rainbow” in Donetsk oblast.

Presentation of the tulip flower from the Netherlands named "Viktor Yuschenko" took place in Kyiv
07.03.2006 On the threshold of the International women day celebration at Mariinskyi Palace, during the Presidential Award ceremony, the presentation of the tulip flower from the Netherlands named "Viktor Yuschenko" took place. The Dutch plant-breeders delievered to Ukraine the orange-coloured tulip that went in blossom for the first time six weeks ago. The flower certificate testifies: «This breed of tulip is orange in colour and corresponds to the Orange revolution days in Ukraine».
There are some "named" tulips among the famous names in order to honour them: Presidents G.W.Bush, B.Clinton, N.Mandella, the Queen of the Netherlands, the Queen of Great Britain.
Director of the Dutch company "Innovative tulips" Mr.F. Timmerman stressed that selected flower "Viktor Yuschenko" is a sign of support for the President, as well as for the Ukrainian people in favour of democratic development. President Yuschenko with respect accepted the symbolic gesture of the Dutch breeders.
At the presentation were present the spouse of the President Mrs.Kateryna Yuschenko with children.

The Day of Ukraine - Oekrainedag in Deventer
04.02.2006 Ambassador O.Kupchyshyn took part in the Day of Ukraine in Deventer to commemorate the 20-th anniversary of Chernobyl NPP accident.
Ambassador delivered an opening speech to present activities of the Ukrainian Government, which are already being undertaken in Ukraine in order to tackle down the Chernobyl consequences.
During the event Ambassaor`s meetings were held with the mayor of Deventer Mr. J.de Jeude, representatives of Ukrainian community in the Netherlands, humanitarian, cultural and touristic organisations working with Ukraine.
The Embassy appreciates the initiative of Foundation Platform Cooperation Netherlands-Ukraine, Spoetnik Fund, Central and Eastern Europe Fair and as well as the mayor of Deventer Mr.J.de Jeude in the Day of Ukraine.
Ambassador made an announcement of International conference “20 Years after Chornobyl accident. Future outlook”, which will take place in Kyiv, April 24-26, 2006 and under the auspice of the Governments of Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and a number of high level international organizations and institutions.
