The 17-th Anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine: “The Days of Pechersk in The Netherlands (Goor)”. Art Exhibition of Anzhelika Rudnytska „Oekraine: Etno-Moderniteit”. The State Academic Wind Orchestra of Ukraine Concert.
The municipality of Hof van Twente, Pechersk administration of Kyiv, Vereniging Hof van Twente – Kiev-Pechersk, the Embassy of Ukraine to commemorate the 17-th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine opened the cultural event “The Days of Pechersk in The Netherlands”. The State Academic Wind Orchestra of Ukraine will be on its tour around the country starting from Goor (19.08.2008). August, 19 at 9:15 the exhibition of artist Anzhelika Rudnytska „Oekraine: etno-moderniteit” was presented and opened by Mayor of Hof van Twente Mr.H.Kok. The exposition will take place till September, 8 at Town Hall De Hofte. The Friendship agreement between the twin-cities was signed in 1992 and social oriented program LOGO East (MinBuZa) was successfully accomplished in 2006.
Anzhelika Rudnytska is a phenomenon of the Ukrainian culture. First, Ukraine Anzhelika admired as presenter of a musical project, then as Pop star. Later we Rudnytska known as a painter on embroidery. www.rudnytska.com

KIEV in DE NEIUWE KERK
De Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam - 25 mei 2006 tot 9 Juli 2006 - een bijzondere selectie
van ruim vijftig 19de- en vroeg 20ste-eeuwse schilderijen uit het National
Art Museum of Ukraine.
Voor de beeldende kunst van Oekraine zijn de 19de en de vroeg 20ste eeuw van
groot belang geweest. Deze 'Gouden Eeuw van de Oekraine' heeft bekende
kunstenaars voortgebracht, die enorm productief waren en in een grote
diversiteit aan stijlen werkten. Net als in de andere Europese landen wordt
deze periode gekenmerkt door grote sociale en politieke veranderingen en
vooruitgang op wetenschappelijk en technisch gebied. Niet voor niets zien we
die grote veranderingen dan ook terug in de kunst van de 19de en begin 20ste
eeuw. In de tentoonstelling is bovendien het groeiende nationalisme van de
19de eeuw goed te volgen.
De Nieuwe Kerk toont schilderijen en aquarellen van de bekendste Oekraiense
kunstenaars uit de 19de en de vroeg 20ste eeuw. Landschappen, portretten en
het volksleven zijn hun belangrijkste onderwerpen. Hoogtepunten zijn de
werken van de schilders Repin, Murashko en Levchenko en het monumentale werk
De Bruid van de schilder Krychevsky.
De tentoonstelling is mogelijk gemaakt door Founders van De Nieuwe Kerk,
Fortis Bank en Buhrmann NV, de hoofdsponsors Getronics PinkRoccade en KPMG,
en is een coproductie met het Nederlandse Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken.

Ukraine in Utrecht. Eastern Neighbours
The Stichting CUltural Aid is an organizer of the International exhibition "Eastern Neighbours". This event is supported also by the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Netherlands and Utrecht municipality administration.
International exhibition "Eastern Neighbours" is a multicultural event, which gathers 12 East European country-neighbours of the European Union. It will discover the recent past, as well as show the modern future. It has an ambition
to present the national values of each country. It will broaden bilateral and multilateral cultural ties between participants. Each country will present its Art at the separate floor.
Ukraine will be presented by the vast and colourful project of the prominent Ukrainian artist Viktor Sydorenko "Authentification".

During the Exhibition the seminar "MVO in Eastern Europe" will take place (19-26 October 2006). The seminar is held as the business part of the exposition Eastern Neighbours. The objective is to inform and inspire companies on how to do business in Eastern Europe.

Picture Exhibition of Naum Repkin in Nijkerk
21.10.2006 The representatives of the Embassy opened the Picture Exhibition of Naum Repkin in Nijkerk. The Exhibition became possible through cooperation with Stichting Hulpactie Nijkerk-Oost Europa, Stichting Soft Tulips, HenriNouwen Stichting, Groenhorst College and organisation Wilde Hanzen.
The Exhibition was organized for the benefit of the children`s rehabilitation centre “Path of Life” Uzhgorod, Ukraine. In the beginning of this year Mr. Naum Repkin donated a number of his paintings for the benefit of this Center. Ukrainian artist paints in the classical manner to show the beauty of Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains. He exhibited his works in New York, Moscow, Berlin, London, Seoul and other cities. All the costs, received from the picture sale, will be donated to the rehabilitation centre. Every participant is welcomed.

Documentary photo exhibition "Chornobyl - is our sorrow"
26.04.2006 Documentary photo exhibition "Chornobyl - is our pain" was opened in the Embassy to commemorate the 20-th anniversary of Chornobyl tragedy. Documentary photo-pictures are represented by National Artists Union of Ukraine to the 10-th anniversary of Chornobyl disaster.

Meeting with famous Ukrainian artist
03.08.2006 Ambassador Î.Ì.Kupchyshyn met with the famous Ukrainian painter Anatoly Tartakovsky.
Artist À.Tartakovsky was staying in the Netherlands for his painting work and inspiration. He works in the new stream of real art - neo-impressionism.
