During the visit President Yushchenko met with H.M.Queen Beatrix, Prime Minister J.P.Balkenende, heads and representatives of the States General and Senate, captains of the Dutch business at VNO-NCW, professors and students of the University of Amsterdam, Mayor of Amsterdam, took part in signing of the bilateral agreements, visited Ukrainian art exhibition in Amsterdam.

During the visit the spouse of the President Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko visited the Humanitarian meeting, Vlietland hospital at Vlaardingen, Mauritshuis and Madurodam museums. During the Humanitarian meeting Mrs. Beja Kleuters, Head of Stichting Spoetnik, was awarder with the Order of Princess Olga for the contribution to the bilateral relations development and humanitarian activity.

Noordeinde Palace, The Hague. Queen Beatrix welcomes Victor Yushchenko and his spouse

Official welcome ceremony took place in the yard of Noordeinde palace. The national anthems of Ukraine and the Netherlands were played.

The official members of Ukrainian delegation were introduced to the Queen Beatrix and the members of the Dutch Royal house to the President.

Victor and Kateryna Yushchenko attend an official reception at Noordeinde palace in the Hague. Among the guests were representatives of political, business, scientific elite of the Netherlands.

President Yushchenko and Premier Balkenende signed the bilateral documents. The members of the delegation signed the Joint Action Government Programme 2007-2009, Intergovernmental Agreement on Customs Assistance and Cooperation, Memorandum on Energy Cooperation Between the Energy Ministry of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands, Intergovernmental Memorandum on Cooperation to Enforce the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Accordance with Article 6 of the Kyoto Protocol.

After the signing ceremony Victor Yushchenko and Jan Peter Balkenende give a joint press conference to the representatives of Ukrainian, Dutch and international mass-media.
